To mark International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, the documentary ‘The Last Ones of Auschwitz’ presenting the powerful testimonies of Holocaust survivors was screened as part of the film series Ciné-ONU Vienna at Top Kino. The film brings together 28 people who survived Auschwitz, some of the very last witnesses of this camp.
More than 60 students from three universities in Vienna recently took part in a Model UN simulation conference at the UN in Vienna. Supported by the UN Environment Programme, the Permanent Mission of Austria and UNIS Vienna, delegates from around 30 countries discussed “Energy sovereignty and justice”, practiced interpretation and gained diplomatic experience.

On the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust, the United Nations in Vienna honoured all victims of the Holocaust at a special event, including a moving testimony by Holocaust survivor Erika Freeman who called on people to make the world a better place.
