Action on climate change at the UN in Vienna
HFCs used in air conditioning or refrigeration as replacement for many ozone depleting substances, lead to global-warming. An agreement to phase out HFCs under the Montreal Protocol, however, would help to reduce global warming by 0.4°C by the end of the century.
