United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to Visit Austria

VIENNA, 23 November (UN Information Service) - The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit Austria from 26 - 27 November 2012 to attend the official opening and inauguration of the King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue in Vienna and for a bilateral visit to Austria.

The Secretary-General will meet the Federal President Heinz Fischer and the Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Michael Spindelegger. While in Vienna the Secretary-General will give an address at the official opening and inauguration of the Centre established by Saudi Arabia with the support of Austria and Spain, at the Hofburg. At the United Nations in Vienna the Secretary-General will meet the heads of some of the Vienna-based UN organizations and UN staff.
