New Permanent Representative of Tajikistan

VIENNA, 12 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Tajikistan, Ismatullo Nasredinov, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which he joined in 1993, he has served in various duty stations and capacities, among them:
Permanent Representative, Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (2012); Head of Department of European and American countries (2011-2012 and 2004-2008); First Secretary, Embassy to the United Kingdom (2008-2011); Chief of UN Section, Department of International Organizations (2002-2004); First Secretary, Department of International Organisations (1999-2002); Second Secretary, Department of International Organizations (1996-1999); Customs Officer, State Customs Committee of Tajikistan (1993-1994).
Mr. Nasredinov holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and in Diplomatic and Consular Relations. He is fluent in Russian and English.
He is married and has two sons.
