Summary Report
VIENNA, 21 July - Members of the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) briefed journalists on the Committee's latest report.
The three annexes of the report address radiation risks from radon in the home and workplaces, new findings about non-targeted cellular effects, and irradiation effects on the human immune system.
The annexes are the second volume of the report. The first volume was released last year.
The speakers were: UNSCEAR Secretary, Malcolm Crick and Committee Members Fred Mettler, Abel Gonzalez and Wolfgang Weiss. The briefing was chaired by Peter Rickwood.
