Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl visits the UN in Vienna
The UN family in Vienna has benefitted tremendously from its strong partnership with Austria, UNOV Director-General Yury Fedotov said during an official visit by Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl. "We look forward to further strengthening our cooperation with Austria in the years to come, to work for peace, security and human rights around the world, and to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals."
International Mother Language Day
Linguistic diversity and multilingualism count for sustainable development. To foster sustainable development, learners must have access to education in their mother tongue and in other languages. Local languages, especially minority and indigenous, transmit cultures, values and traditional knowledge, and thus play an important role in promoting sustainable futures.
