"You Have the Right to Play!"
Children's Summer Programme at the UN Offices in Vienna

30. June - 29. August 2008

Children's Rights - what are they? Are they valid for all children or just for you and your friends?
Why do children need special rights? Who wrote them?

If you want to find out the answers to these questions and more, or if you just want to come visit the United Nations headquarters in Vienna, then why not join us on one of our special tours for children this summer at the Vienna International Centre? Have you ever wondered who works here, what they do and what relevance this work has for your life? Come and find out on a "Ferienspiel" tour and have fun learning more about human rights and the work of the United Nations.

Together with a tour guide you will explore the flags of the 192 Member States, visit a conference hall, learn about the six official languages and have a chance to find out more about your "Right to Play" in a fun and interactive way.

There are two separate programmes for different age groups:

6 - 10:   every weekday at 9:30 a.m.
11 - 13: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3 p.m.
Group bookings outside these regular times are possible from 9:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Mondays - Fridays throughout the Austrian summer holidays.

As part of the City of Vienna's "Ferienspiel", the admission fee is 1 Euro per child, 3 Euros for adults (instead of 5). Reservations are required for larger groups and adults need to present a valid picture ID.
