    Inauguration of exhibition on illicit wildlife products seized by Austrian customs

    VIENNA, 9 May (UN Information Service) - Media are invited to attend the inauguration of the exhibition on illicit wildlife products seized by Austrian customs. The Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Yury Fedotov, and the State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Austria, Jochen Danninger, will inaugurate the exhibition during the 23 rd session of the UN Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice.

    WHERE: M building M-01, Vienna International Centre

    After delivering opening remarks, Mr. Fedotov and Mr. Danninger will pose with samples of seized ivory.

    Journalists will have the possibility to ask questions at the exhibition inauguration.

    Following the photo-opportunity, a special expert event on wildlife crime will take place from 13:30 to 15:00 where the Austrian State Secretary will also speak. This event is also open to media.
