    New Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan
    Presents Credentials

    VIENNA, 1 December (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the United Nations (Vienna), Silapberdi Nurberdiev, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

    Mr. Nurberdiev is also serving as the Ambassador to Austria as of August 2011.

    During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nurberdiev has served in various capacities, among them: Counsellor, and previously First Secretary of Embassy in Saudi Arabia (2008-2011); Third Secretary, Second Secretary, First Secretary of the Department for International Organizations (2004-2008); Attaché of the Department of Consular Services (2000-2004).

    Mr. Nurberdiev holds a degree in International Economy from the Magtymguly Turkmen State University. He speaks English and Russian and is married with two children.
