    New Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan Presents Credentials

    VIENNA, 5 October (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Representative of Kyrgyzstan to the United Nations (Vienna), Rina Prijivoit presented her credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, United Nations Office at Vienna.

    Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Prijivoit served as Chief Editor of the Political Department of the newspapers Moya Stolitsa and Moya Stolitsa - Novosti.

    Ms. Prijivoit has served in a variety of capacities in the course of her career: including as Correspondent, Head of the Social and Economic Department of the newspaper Vecherni Bishkek (1991-2000); Executive Secretary of the newspaper RIF (1990-91); Executive Secretary of the Scientific and Methodological magazine "Russian Language and Literature in Kyrgyz Language Schools" (1982-90); and as Head of the Science Department, Kyrgyz State Institute of Physical Culture (1977-82).

    Ms. Prijivoit studied at the Faculty of Philology, Kyrgyz State University. She has a daughter.
